A record rainfall and liquid equivalent precipitation of 1.31 inches was set at Wichita Falls today December 24th. This breaks the old record of 1.2 set on Christmas eve in 1975. A record daily snowfall of 7.8 inches was also set at Wichita Falls today. This breaks the old record of 2 inches set in 1975 on Christmas eve. Precipitation records for Wichita Falls date back to 1897.
