regional weather discussion.. showers and thunderstorms will continue through 4 am across western and northern Oklahoma and parts of western North Texas. More widespread showers... heavy at times... will track east across northern Oklahoma from around Vici and Seiling east to around Enid and Perry. Hourly rainfall rates of up to an inch will be possible in these areas... and some locales will likely pick up 2 inches of rain or more by daybreak. Rain chances through 4 am will decrease farther south into central Oklahoma... with only scattered showers as far south as Kingfisher and Guthrie... and mostly dry conditions from Interstate 40 southward. In western North Texas... light showers will be confined to areas west of Seymour and Vernon. In western Oklahoma... showers generally will remain west of the Lawton... Anadarko... and Kingfisher areas through 4 am. Rainfall in western Oklahoma will be steadier and a bit heavier from I-40 northward.
