At 3:36 PM... National Weather Service Doppler radar continued to indicate scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms over central and eastern Oklahoma... as well as in parts of west central Arkansas. Hail to the size of Golf balls had occurred from a thunderstorm near Poteau in Leflore County Oklahoma. The storm had advanced into Sebastian County Arkansas. The showers and storms were moving east northeast 35 to 40 mph. Through 5:30 PM... scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected to increase in aerial coverage and intensity across much of the area... as low pressure skirts eastward near the Oklahoma Kansas border. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for much of eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas until 8:00 PM CDT Sunday.

At 424 PM CDT... a strong thunderstorm was located 4 miles southwest
of Avant... moving east at 25 mph. Some locations that will be
affected by this storm include... Avant... Wolco... Barnsdall...
Skiatook... Collinsville... Vera and Ramona.

This storm will be capable of producing penny size hail and wind
gusts to 40 mph.
