Nowcast | as of 11:10 PM CDT on July 30, 2014

At 11:05 PM...National Weather Service Doppler radars detected widespread showers with a few embedded thunderstorms ongoing across eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas. The majority of the activity was south of a Okmulgee to Fayetteville line. All precipitation was moving toward the southeast at around 25 mph. Through 1:00 am...occasional showers and a thunderstorm or two are expected to persist for eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas... with the best chance for any thunderstorm activity to impact areas of southeast Oklahoma. Where thunderstorms occur...hourly rainfall rate at times will exceed one inch. For most locations...average hourly rainfall of one tenth to one quarter inch will be more common. The northeast corner of Oklahoma can expect less than one tenth of an inch per hour during this time. A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for portions of eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas through Thursday afternoon.
