The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow and sleet...which is in effect until 6 PM CST this evening...
For the following counties... * in Oklahoma...McIntosh and Muskogee.
Hazardous weather... * a band of light to moderate snow...mixing with moderate to heavy sleet at times...is forecast to gradually slide east across northeast and east central Oklahoma through the afternoon. While the heavier precipitation is falling it may begin to accumulate on roads...bridges and overpasses...creating slick spots. Once the precipiation tapers off...warm ground temperatures will begin to melt what is on the ground.
* Up to around 2 inches snow and sleet accumulation is expected.
Impacts... * roads in the advisory area may become slick and hazardous... especially on bridges and overpasses and non-treated surfaces.
