Here is a Fire Danger Statement issued in coordination with the Wayne National Forest...
With recent warm days and dry weather... fire danger has increased to high across southeast Ohio. Warm temperatures will again combine with very low relative humidity levels this afternoon to further enhance the danger.
Open burning of any type is considered very hazardous at this time. Accidental escaped debris Burns are by far the number one cause of wildfires. Also... be careful with heat and Sparks while operating any equipment... or smoking in wildland areas.
Ohio state law prohibits debris burning in unincorporated areas from 6 am to 6 PM during the months of March... April... and may.
