Lake Effect Snow Warning
Issued: 2:27 PM EST Feb. 9, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Lake effect snow warning in effect from 11 PM this evening to
4 PM EST Thursday...

The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a lake
effect snow warning... which is in effect from 11 PM this evening
to 4 PM EST Thursday. The lake effect snow watch is no longer in
effect.

* Accumulations... 8 to 12 inches of snow.

* Timing... snow late tonight and Wednesday will transition to
lake effect snow showers and squalls by Wednesday night and
continue into Thursday.

* Impacts... snow covered roads and reduced visibility during
heavier snow showers and squalls. Blowing snow is
likely... especially in the the squalls.

* Winds... west 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* Temperatures... lows in the single digits at night and in the 20s
for highs Wednesday to teens and lower 20s Thursday.

In lake effect snow the weather can vary from locally heavy snow
in narrow bands to dry weather just a few miles away. If you will
