... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect from 10 am this morning
to 4 PM EST this afternoon...

* ice accumulations... a tenth of an inch or less.

* Snow/sleet accumulations... .an inch or less.

* Snow/ice beginning... snow will begin near or shortly after the
morning commute. The transition to sleet and freezing rain will
occur around noon and could continue into mid afternoon before
changing over to all rain.

* Snow/ice ending... rain is expected by late afternoon.

* Impacts... hazardous travel conditions are expected due to
snow... sleet and ice covered roads. Untreated roads and
sidewalks will be slippery.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory is normally issued for a variety of
winter weather conditions such as light snow... blowing snow...
sleet... freezing rain and wind chills. While the weather will be
significant... the word advisory implies that severe winter
