* Through Sunday evening
* the National Weather Service advises that streams now swollen
from the continued snow melt and recent rainfall may flood at
any time. Rain will continue tonight... with additional showers
expected Sunday. The rain on already saturated ground... along
with continued higher elevation snowmelt will aggravate the risk
of flooding for small streams and creeks... as well as for points
along larger rivers.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts of snow melt and rainfall.
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
If flooding does develop... move to higher ground. Also never go
through flood waters. The water depth and current may be too
great and the water temperature will be near freezing. Turn
around. Don't drown.
