... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 4 PM this afternoon to
4 PM EST Thursday...

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect from 4 PM this
afternoon to 4 PM EST Thursday. The Winter Storm Watch is no
longer in effect.

* Snow accumulations... 4 to 7 inches.

* Snow beginning... late this afternoon.

* Period of most intense snow... tonight into Thursday morning.

* Snow ending... Thursday afternoon.

* Impacts... hazardous travel conditions are expected due to snow
accumulation.

* Winds... northwest 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that snowfall will cause
travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and
limited visibility. Report snow accumulation to the National
Weather Service by calling 412-262-1988... posting to the NWS
Pittsburgh facebook Page... or using twitter @nwspittsburgh.






Areal Flood Warning
Statement as of 8:59 AM EST on March 04, 2015

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
Noble County in east central Ohio...

* until 300 PM EST Wednesday

* emergency management reported flooded roads through out the County
due to heavy rainfall and snow melt. Roads that were reported closed
include the intersections of State Route 260 and 724... State Route
821 about a quarter mile south of Dexter City... intersection of 147
and 146 near Shenandoah High School... and intersection of 564 and
145.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported.
All interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall and snow melt is causing
flooding of small streams... roads and farmland along the banks of
creeks.

... The Flood Advisory for minor flooding of poor drainage areas
remains in effect until 1230 PM EST for Noble... Monroe... Fayette...
Wetzel... Marion... Marshall... Monongalia and Greene counties...

* poor drainage flooding will continue through the morning
from ongoing precipitation and runoff from previous
rainfall and snowmelt.

* County officials have reported flooded roadways near the
intersection of Russell run and the Mason-Dixon Highway in
Monongahela County.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of western Maryland... east central Ohio...
Pennsylvania and West Virginia... including the following
areas... in western Maryland... Garrett. In east central Ohio...
Belmont... Guernsey... Harrison... Jefferson OH... Monroe...
Muskingum and Noble. In Pennsylvania... Allegheny... Armstrong...
   Beaver... Butler... Fayette... Fayette ridges... Greene...
Indiana... Washington... Westmoreland and Westmoreland ridges.
In West Virginia... Brooke... Hancock... Marion... Marshall...
Monongalia... Ohio... Preston... Tucker and Wetzel.

* Through this evening

* a half to an inch of additional rain is possible through the
watch period. The better chance for the higher totals is
expected to be along and south of the Interstate 70 corridor...
   where locally higher amounts toward 1.5 inches are possible.

* This rainfall combined with snow melt could cause flooding of
poor drainage areas and small streams... especially those
dammed by ice.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding.

Be alert for possible flood warnings. Those living in areas prone
to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding
develop.
