The short term forecast for northern Erie, Niagara, Orleans, and Genesee counties. Scattered thunderstorms are beginning to form over the Niagara peninsula this afternoon. These storms will move eastward into portions of northern Erie and Niagara counties between 1 and 3 PM and into Orleans and Genesee counties between 2 and 4 PM. Although these storms will be scattered in nature...they may be able to produce quick bursts of heavy rain.
