... Growing season has ended over much of central New York and
northeast Pennsylvania... .

Clear skies and calm winds... associated with Canadian high
pressure... provided ideal conditions for a widespread frost and
freeze on Monday night. Low temperatures ranged from the mid 20s
to lower 30s across much of the area... with slightly warmer
temperatures over the northern Finger Lakes (low to mid 30s).
This has effectively ended the growing season across
most of central New York and northeast Pennsylvania... with the
exception of the northern Finger Lakes.
