... Wind chill warning remains in effect until 1 PM EST Sunday...

* locations... all of east central New York and western New England.

* Hazard types... life threatening wind chills.

* Wind chill readings... 25 to 60 below zero at times. The coldest
wind chill values will be across the higher terrain of the
southern Adirondacks and southern greens.

* Timing... through Sunday morning... with the coldest wind chill
values tonight.

* Impacts... wind chills will reach life threatening levels. Frigid
temperatures will result in frozen and bursting pipes... frostbite
and hypothermia in a short amount of time.

* Winds... northwest 15 to 25 with gusts 30 to 45 mph.

* Temperatures... air temperatures 5 to 25 degrees below zero. The
coldest readings will be across the highest terrain of the
southern Adirondacks.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A wind chill warning means the combination of very cold air and
strong winds will create dangerously low wind chill values. This
will result in frost bite and lead to hypothermia or death if
precautions are not taken.
