... Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected this afternoon
across the north country...

Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms will develop across
northern New York between noon and 2 PM today and spread east into
Vermont by mid afternoon. The primary severe weather threat will
be strong and damaging wind gusts... along with localized heavy
down pours which may cause isolated flash flooding. In
addition... frequent cloud to ground lightning and hail up to one
inch in diameter is possible. The severe weather threat will shift
east of our region by 7 PM this evening.
