	Lake Effect Snow Warning
Statement as of 3:31 PM EST on December 16, 2009 ... Lake effect snow warning remains in effect until 9 PM EST this evening... A lake effect snow warning remains in effect until 9 PM EST this Evening. Lake effect snow will continue to produce difficult travel conditions through this evening. A band of heavy lake effect snow over central Oswego County will continue to settle south into the southern portion of the County through this evening. The band is expected to exit the County by mid evening. Snowfall rates of one to two inches per hour are likely in the most intense portion of this band. Expect total accumulations of 6 to 9 inches in the most persistent lake snows. Precautionary/preparedness actions... In lake effect snow the weather can vary from locally heavy snow in narrow bands to clear skies just a few miles away. If you will be traveling across the region be prepared for rapid changes in Road and visibility conditions. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio or your favorite source of weather information for the latest updates. Additional details can also be found at www.Weather.Gov/Buffalo.

	Special Weather Statement
Statement as of 3:56 PM EST on December 16, 2009 ... Heavy lake effect snow drifting south through the County... A band of heavy lake effect snow stretching from near Hannibal east to Fulton... and along the North Shore of Oneida Lake. This band is expected to continue to drift slowly south through the rest of the afternoon. Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are likely in this band. More intermittent moderate to briefly heavy snow showers will also continue to move through central Oswego County from Oswego to Mexico... Parish... Pulaski... and Williamstown. Travel will continue to be difficult across portions of Oswego County with snow covered roads and low visibility. The drive along Interstate 81 will be difficult from Brewerton north to Pulaski. Allow some extra time to reach your destination.
