Showers will continue across much of eastern New York and adjacent western New England through 9 am. Rainfall may briefly fall moderate in intensity...especially across the eastern Catskills...Mid Hudson valley...Taconics...and Litchfield Hills. A rumble or two of thunder may accompany the heaviest rainfall as well. Additional rainfall will amount between a tenth to a half inch of rain...with locally higher amounts. This will result in ponding of water on roadways...as well as the continued flooding of small streams...creeks...poor drainage...and low lying areas.
