... Wind chill warning remains in effect until 1 PM EST Sunday...

* locations... the southern tier, Syracuse area and The Finger
lakes regions of New York.

* Hazard types... dangerously low wind chills and extreme cold.

* Timing... beginning this morning... coldest tonight into Sunday
morning.

* Impacts... potential frostbite and hypothermia. The extreme
cold may also lead to potential frozen pipes.

* Wind chill readings... 15 to 30 below zero today... then 25 t0 35
below tonight into Sunday morning. Lowest wind chills will be
over the higher terrain.

* Winds... becoming northwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts of 30 to 40
mph today... decreasing late tonight into Sunday.

* Temperatures... falling to near zero to 5 below zero today... and
continuing to fall through tonight to lows of 5 to 15 below
zero Sunday morning... coldest at higher elevations.
