... Adjustments have been made to the 1981-2010 snowfall normals
for Albany New York...

After a thorough review of the snowfall climatological data for
Albany New York... it was revealed that some storms were missing in
the months of October... January... February and March. As a result
the missing data was not initially used to compute the 1981-2010
snowfall normals. After verification of the data... 1981-2010
snowfall normals were re-computed for Albany New York.

The results:

October... ... ... 0.3 inches (initially zero)
November... ... ..2.8 inches (no change)
December... ... .13.7 inches (no change)
January... ... ..17.9 inches (initially 17.6 inches)
February... ... .12.2 inches (initially 12.4 inches)
March... ... ... .11.0 inches (initially 10.2 inches)
April... ... ... ..2.3 inches (no change)
may... ... ... ... .0.1 inches (no change)
total... ... ... .60.3 inches (initially 59.1 inches)

On June 1, 2015... the corrections are scheduled to be made to our climate
database for Albany New York and to the associated climate reference materials
which can be found on our climate web Page at: www.Weather.Gov/aly/climate
