PDT this evening over much of western Nevada along and south of
I-80 for strong winds and low humidity...
A red flag warning remains in effect from noon today to 11 PM PDT
this evening.
Low pressure moving across the region will bring widespread windy
conditions this afternoon and evening. Southwest winds 15 to 25
mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected. Ridges above 7000 feet
will see higher gusts. Humidity levels will fall to near 15
percent in valley locations. Strong winds and low humidity levels
will result in critical fire weather conditions.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
will occur. Continue to check weather.Gov/Reno for updates.
