Record Report
Statement as of 4:47 PM PDT on July 9, 2009
... A wet June across northeastern and central Nevada...
An unusually wet weather pattern was in place across the region during June 2009. Rainfall in all areas exceeded normal values... and in some places, by a significant amount.
The following table lists how June 2009 precipitation totals ranked compared to previous junes at climate sites around the region. Totals listed are preliminary. Note that due to limited periods of record... some of these rankings are not as significant as they may first appear. The /years of record/ listed below lists the number of junes for which precipitation data is available for that particular station. The /start of records/ listed below indicates the earliest year for which June precipitation data is available.
Note: an asterisk /*/ next to the station name indicates that the stations records include additional data from one or more nearby stations to extend the period of record further back in time.
The Table below lists all the available preliminary rainfall totals across our area of responsibility... the normal rainfall for June... and the percent of that normal which fell in June 2009.
