Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 2:28 PM PDT on July 07, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 9 PM PDT this
evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of Nevada... including the following areas...
northeastern Nye County and northwestern Nye County.

* Until 9 PM PDT this evening

* isolated to scattered thunderstorms will produce locally heavy
rain... with isolated flash flooding possible.

* Areas most prone to flash flooding include small creeks and
streams in and near the higher terrain... near burn scars... and
normally dry washes. Rock slides and debris flows over
roadways are possible. Roadways in low-lying areas will be
susceptible to flash flooding. If camping or recreating... stay
out of dry washes or streams. Flood waters can travel great
distances from the thunderstorm... especially in higher
terrain.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
