Sunny. Highs 82 to 92. Light winds becoming northwest 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.

* Winds: southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph will continue this evening before decreasing to around 10 mph by late evening.
* Wave heights: 2 to 4 feet this evening... with the highest waves on the northern and Eastern Shores of Pyramid Lake.
* Small boats will be prone to capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions improve.

A red flag warning remains in effect until 11 PM PDT this evening.
Low pressure moving across the region will generate widespread windy conditions through this evening. Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph are expected. Ridges above 7000 feet will see higher gusts. Humidity levels will fall to near 15 percent in valley locations late this afternoon. Strong winds and low humidity levels will result in critical fire weather conditions.
