Wind Advisory
Statement as of 10:52 AM PST on November 14, 2009
... Wind Advisory remains in effect until 10 PM PST this evening...
A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 10 PM PST this evening for
Esmeralda and central Nye counties.
A strong cold front will push across south central Nevada late
this morning through early afternoon. Colder air and strong
northwest winds will sweep in behind the front with speeds of 20
to 30 mph and gusts around 45 mph through late this evening. Wind
speeds will gradually decrease late tonight.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Wind Advisory means that winds of 30 to 39 mph and... or wind
gusts of 40 to 57 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make
driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. Use
extra caution.
