Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 2:28 AM PST on March 02, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 10 PM PST this
evening...

The National Weather Service in Elko has issued a Winter Weather
Advisory for snow... which is in effect until 10 PM PST this
evening.

* Snow accumulations: 2 to 6 inches in the valleys with 6 to 12
inches in the mountains. Heaviest amounts are expected across
southern White Pine County... including Ely and Great Basin park.

* Timing: light snow showers will spread up from the south early
this morning... intensifying as well as expanding into northern
White Pine County by late morning. Heaviest snow shower activity
is expected during the afternoon hours... at which time isolated
thunderstorms may enhance snowfall rates locally. Snow showers
will taper off in most areas early this evening... although
moderate snows may persist through 10 PM over and near Great
Basin park.

* Impacts: slick and snow covered roads along with periods of
reduced visibility in moderate to locally heavy showers will
make travel hazardous today.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that travel difficulties are
expected due to wintry conditions. Be prepared for slippery roads
and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving. For the
latest Road conditions call 511 or visit www.Nvroads.Com.
