Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 5:23 PM PDT on August 01, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 11 PM PDT this
evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of south central Nevada... including the following
area... Esmeralda and central Nye County.

* Until 11 PM PDT this evening

* a very moist airmass remains in place. Any stronger or slower
moving thunderstorms will be capable of producing one to two
inches of rain in an hour or less.

* Impacts... roads could be covered with water... mud or rocks.
Some dirt and secondary gravel roads could be washed out.
Rapid rises in washes could also occur leading to flooding
downstream. Any burn areas could also see debris flows.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
