A Wind Advisory remains in effect from 8 am this morning to 11 PM PDT this evening.

* Timing: winds will increase this morning and continue through the afternoon...then slowly diminish this evening.

* Winds: south to southwest 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph. Locally stronger gusts up to 65 mph in wind prone areas.

* Impacts: hazardous travel conditions for high profile vehicles.Travel restrictions likely on Highway 395 and Interstate 580 south of Reno and possible in California along Highway 395 south of Susanville. If you have outdoor decorations...make sure they are secured or brought indoors before Saturday morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

...Red flag warning remains in effect until 3 PM PDT this afternoon for strong winds and low humidity for the western Nevada Sierra front...

* affected zone 450 western Nevada Sierra front.

* Winds...southwest 20 to 35 mph with gusts to 55 mph. Wind prone areas along the Sierra front may gust up to 65 mph.

* Humidity...15 to 22 percent.

* Impacts...the combination of gusty winds and low humidity will create critical fire weather conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means weather conditions can cause fires to grow rapidly in size and intensity before first responders can contain them.
