Isolated snow showers will continue to affect portions of the north central mountains and upper Rio Grande Valley through 2 PM. These showers will be brief but will be intense at times with visibilities being reduced down to three quarters of a mile. Additional snow accumulations will be minimal for most of the area but some heavier showers could produce up to a half an inch. Areas found along the high terrain of the Sangre de Cristos will receive an additional half to 1 inch of snow.

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 5 PM MST this afternoon.
Expect an additional 1 to 4 inches of new snow this afternoon across the San Juan... Sangre de Cristo and Jemez Mountains... with up to 2 inches at lower elevations. Total snowfall accumulations will range from 6 to 10 inches with locally higher amounts across the mountains... while 2 to 6 inches will be common at lower elevations.
Snow showers will taper off from west to east through late afternoon to ease these dangerous winter weather conditions.
