Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 3:44 PM MST on March 03, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from midnight tonight to
midnight MST Wednesday night...

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect from midnight
tonight to midnight MST Wednesday night.

* Snow accumulations... 1 to 3 inches below 7500 feet and 3 to 6
inches above 7500 feet.

* Timing... light snow will develop this evening then increase in
intensity and coverage around midnight tonight through Wednesday
before diminishing early Wednesday night.

* Winds... will be mostly light except over the Raton ridge...
Johnson Mesa area and the far northeast Highlands. These areas
will have northeast winds increasing to 10 to 20 mph with higher
gusts. This will create some blowing snow.

* Snow levels... temperatures will be cold enough for snow at all
locations.

* Local impacts... difficult travel conditions will develop late
tonight and continue into Wednesday night due to snow packed and
icy roads. Visibilities will be reduced in snow... and further
reduced in blowing snow over eastern areas. This includes I 25
from Watrous to Raton Pass.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will
primarily cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities.
