A Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from 11 PM MST this
evening through late Sunday night across northeast New Mexico.
Significant snowfall is possible across the northeast Highlands
and northeast plains mainly early Sunday morning through Sunday
evening as a strong cold front plows through the area. The most
favored area for significant snowfall is across Union and Colfax
counties. Strong winds may also create reduced visibilities and
travel problems in blowing snow.
Snow showers are expected to taper off early Monday morning to
ease these hazardous winter weather conditions.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Remember... a Winter Storm Watch means conditions are favorable
for a hazardous winter weather event in and close to the watch
area.
