Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms...some producing heavy rain...will move from western New Mexico into the Central Valley during the evening hours. The strongest storms will produce up to three quarters of an inch to an inch of rain in an hour. Through 1000 PM MDT...the strongest thunderstorms will approach then cross the Interstate 25 corridor generally from las Lunas south to Socorro and Bosque del Apache. A band of showers and thunderstorms will move through Socorro County...along and south of U.S. Highway 60 from Datil to Magdalena. Remain alert to ponding of water of area roadways...and fast moving flows through arroyos and other drainages.
