Through mid afternoon scattered rain showers and high terrain snow showers will continue to stream northeastward across northwest New Mexico...the north central mountains and the west central mountains. Isolated thunderstorms are also possible. The snow level will vary around 8500 feet. Through 245 PM precipitation will favor the west slopes of the San Juan Mountains...Jemez Mountains and Sangre de Cristo Mountains...where up to 1 inch of additional snow may accumulate across the high terrain. Heavier snow showers will drop visibility below one half mile at times. Roadways may become slick over mountain passes.

	Winter Storm Warning
Statement as of 11:52 AM MST on November 14, 2009 ... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 5 PM MST Sunday... A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 5 PM MST Sunday. Snow developing during the day today over the San Juan Mountains will expand in coverage to the northwest Highlands... the Jemez Mountains... and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains by tonight as snow levels fall below 6000 feet. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches are expected through Sunday afternoon across the San Juan... Sangre de Cristo... and Jemez Mountains. Higher amounts over one foot are possible across the highest peaks and western slopes near the Colorado border. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches are likely at lower elevations. Snow will continue through the day on Sunday... with snow tapering off Sunday evening to ease these dangerous winter weather conditions. Precautionary/preparedness actions... Travel is discouraged. Roads will be snow packed and hazardous... and may be closed. For the latest Road conditions... call 1.800.432.4269.

	Public Information Statement
Statement as of 10:52 am MST on November 14, 2009 ... NOAA Weather Radio remains out of service across northern and central New Mexico... Multiple communication and hardware failures Thursday morning caused a NOAA Weather Radio outage throughout northern and central New Mexico. Since then... state technicians have been working earnestly to restore the system. Multiple parts have been replaced... however the new equipment is not robust enough to carry the signal. Therefore... more parts have been ordered. At this time... the earliest the NOAA Weather Radio broadcast will be restored is Monday. Please note... this outage does not affect the Roswell transmitter... wwg-36. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
