... Winter Storm Warning now in effect until 4 PM MST Sunday...

The Winter Storm Warning for is now in effect until 4 PM MST
Sunday.

* Snow accumulations... additional accumulations of 3 to 6 inches
through today. Tonight through Sunday an additional 10 to 20
inches is expected above 8000 feet... with 4 to 10 inches below
8000 feet. Heavier snow amounts this weekend will favor west and
southwest facing slopes.

* Timing... periods of heavy snow will continue through early
morning. Snow will moderate during the late morning only to
intensify again this afternoon and tonight. Periods of heavy
snow will then continue through Sunday.

* Winds... significant winds are not expected.

* Snow levels... temperatures will be cold enough for snow at all
locations until Saturday afternoon through Sunday when the snow
level will lift to around 8000 feet.

* Local impacts... hazardous travel conditions due to snow packed
and icy roadways are expected along with reduced visibilities in
locally heavy snow. Road closures will be possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight... food...
