Brisk north to northwest winds sustained at 20 to 35 mph with occasional gusts to around 45 mph will persist over portions of northeast New Mexico for the rest of the afternoon. The strongest winds will be found closer to the Texas border. The wind may result in areas of reduced visibilities in blowing snow... mainly in the area between Raton...Folsom and Des Moines along State Road 72 and Highway 64 and 87. Wind chill readings will be in the teens through the afternoon. The wind should begin to diminish by sunset.
