* Flash Flood Warning for...
central Los Alamos County in north central New Mexico...
northwestern Santa Fe County in north central New Mexico...

* until 530 PM MDT

* at 330 PM MDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a
cluster of thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned
area. Flash flooding is likely along Highway 502 and the canyons
within Los Alamos.

* Locations impacted include...
Los Alamos... White Rock and San Ildefonso Pueblo.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

Arroyos... streams and normally dry washes can become raging currents
in a matter of minutes. Water in arroyos may travel many miles and
take hours to reach your location from upstream rain areas.

Most flood related deaths occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to
cross water covered bridges... dips... or low water crossings.

* Flash Flood Warning for...
northeastern Sandoval County in north central New Mexico...
southern Rio Arriba County in north central New Mexico...

* until 515 PM MDT

* at 318 PM MDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a
thunderstorm producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to
2.25 inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is likely
along Forest roads 103 and 126 near the Sandoval and Rio Arriba
County line. The far upper reaches of the jemez river will also be
impacted.

* Flash flooding will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern
Sandoval and southern Rio Arriba counties.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

Do not Camp along streams and rivers. Remain alert when hiking in
steep... narrow canyons. Know where you are relative to low spots and
drainages.

* Arroyo and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
west central Colfax County in northeastern New Mexico...
east central Taos County in north central New Mexico...

* until 530 PM MDT

* at 334 PM MDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
heavy rain due to a cluster of thunderstorms near Red River and
extending southward to near Angel Fire. Expect pockets of 1 to
1.25 inches of rainfall within the advisory area. Some of the
water will drain into the upper Cimarron Canyon while most will
flow westward. The city of Red River will be impacted.

* Locations impacted include...
Angel Fire... Red River... Eagle Nest... Taos Ski Valley... Eagle Nest
Lake State Park... Shady Brook... Vietnam Veterans Memorial State
Park and Elizabethtown.

Other locations affected include the following locations
Elephant Rock campground... junebug campground... la sombra
campground... Enchanted Forest cross country ski area... and Red River
ski area.

northwestern Santa Fe County in north central New Mexico...

* until 530 PM MDT

* at 326 PM MDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
heavy rain due to a cluster of thunderstorms over Los Alamos and
far western Santa Fe counties. Expect between 1 to 1.5 inches of
rainfall from these storms. Highway 502 and Los Alamos city
streets will be impacted.

* Locations impacted include...
Los Alamos and White Rock.

Other locations affected include Pajarito Mountain ski area and
Buckman river White Rock Canyon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely.

The heavy rainfall and slow movement of these storms may result in
flooding of Road intersections and low-lying
areas. Waters may begin to run in normally dry arroyos.

heavy rain due to a cluster of thundersotrms near Glorietta as
well as south of Lamy. Expect between 1 to 1.5 inches of rainfall
from these slow moving storms.

* Locations impacted include...
Eldorado at Santa Fe... Glorieta... Canada de los Alamos and Lamy.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 25 between mile markers 290 and 302.
Highway 285 between mile markers 277 and 290.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely.
