Special Statement
Statement as of 3:45 PM MDT on April 17, 2015

... Accumulating snowfall tonight for the northern mountains...

An unseasonably cold weather system anchored over The Four Corners
will begin moving slowly east along the Colorado border tonight. A
band with a mix of rain and snow will develop over the northwest
Highlands late tonight... before becoming primarily snow bands as they
shift east over the northern mountains early Saturday morning. Brief
periods of snow will be possible for locations below 7000 feet... but
little to no accumulation is expected. Above 7000 feet... 1 to 3
inches of snowfall will be possible with locally higher amounts.
Temperatures will be cold enough for light accumulations on elevated
Road surfaces and over High Mountain passes... though no major travel
impacts are expected.

Folks with travel plans around northern New Mexico tonight and early
Saturday morning should be prepared for wintry travel conditions. For
the latest Road conditions visit nmroads.Com or dial 5-1-1.
