Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 5 PM MST this afternoon... Snow showers will continue moving east through mid morning. In Sandoval County...snow showers crossing Highway 550 will move toward Los Alamos...White Rock...Highway 285...and Espanola. More showers near Cuba will cross into southern Rio Arriba County and move along State Road 96 toward Abiquiu and ghost ranch. More snow showers near Heron Lake and El Vado state Parks will move east along Highway 64 toward Tierra Amarilla...Chama...and Tres Piedras. Expect another inch of new snow as these snow showers move through... and snow levels remain near 6000 feet. Visibilities will be reduced locally in fog and heavier snow showers.

Breezy. Numerous snow showers. Snow accumulation 1 or 2 inches...except 2 to 4 inches above 7500 feet. Highs in the upper 30s to lower 40s...except in the 20s to upper 30s over the higher elevations. West winds 10 to 20 mph increasing to northwest 15 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Caution advised on area lakes.
Partly cloudy. Scattered snow showers in the evening... then isolated snow showers after midnight. Lows 10 to 20...except 5 to 20 over the higher elevations. North winds 10 to 20 mph in the evening.

Mostly sunny. Not as cold. Highs in the 30s to mid 40s. North winds 10 to 15 mph.

Expect an additional 2 to 4 inches of new snow today... with an additional 2 inches locally over the Sangre de Cristo summits and higher slopes near the Colorado border.
Expect heavier snow across Highway 64... Highway 285... State Road 522... and State Road 434.
Snow showers will taper off from west to east through late afternoon to ease these dangerous winter weather conditions.
