A cluster of stronger storms will continue to affect portions of the northeast Highlands and northeast plains through the remainder of the evening. The strongest storms will affect the area found between Raton and Des Moines and will move off towards the northeast at 50 mph. The communities of Raton...Folsom and Springer will be affected. Elsewhere...look for scattered storms to continue to affect portions of the southeast and east Central Plains through the remainder of the evening. The strongest storms will be found east of a line from Roswell to Logan. Storms will be fast moving and generally move towards the northeast. Gusts between 45 to 55 mph... pea sized hail and frequent cloud to ground lightning will be associated with the stronger storms. Rain amounts will range between a few hundredths to a third of an inch but will come down real hard for a brief period thus providing some visibility restrictions.
