A broad area of rain with a few embedded thunderstorms will continue to track slowly to the northeast across portions of Socorro...Lincoln ...Chaves and Roosevelt counties this morning. Through 600 am MDT... thunderstorms are most likely in the southeast plains...from eastern Chaves to Roosevelt and Curry counties and will result in a quick burst of precipitation up to half or three quarters of an inch in 30 minutes and cloud to ground lightning. Locations possibly impacted include Elkins...Broadview...Melrose...Portales...Rogers and Milnesand. Elsewhere...rain will produce accumulations of a few hundreths to two or three tenths of an inch.
