Before 11 am MDT...scattered to numerous showers of lowland rain and mountain snow will continue over portions of western and central New Mexico. Snow levels will be around 7000 feet...although accumulation levels will be higher and wet snow will predominate. Any thunderstorms will remain isolated in coverage and short lived... though will be capable of brief heavy rain and small hail. Additional rainfall amounts through 1 am will range from a few hundredths to as much as one quarter inch...although the area between Belen... Mountainair and Socorro could see some higher amounts. The Albuquerque Metro could also see another round of light rain as it moves in from the northeast.

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued an

* Arroyo and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
north central Socorro County in central New Mexico
central Valencia County in central New Mexico

* until 1230 am MDT

* at 1057 PM MDT National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
heavy rain along the Interstate 25 corridor between Belen and
Bernardo. Up to 1 inch of rain has already fallen near Belen... and
this much rain is expected near Veguita... and Bernardo. Very low
visibilities are expected along Interstate 25. Travelers should
proceed with caution. Ponding of water and low lying areas is
expected.

* Strong flows and high water levels are expected in arroyos... small
streams and over low water crossings. Minor street flooding is
possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to tell how much
water is on the Road... do not drive through fast moving water of
unknown depth.
