... Winter Storm Warning in effect until 11 am MST this morning...

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Winter
Storm Warning for heavy snow... which is in effect until 11 am MST this
morning. The Winter Weather Advisory is no longer in effect.

* Snow accumulations... additional accumulations of 2 to 4 inches
are generally expected.

* Timing... periodic snow heavy at times will continue through the
late morning hours before temperatures slowly moderate.

* Winds... significant winds are not expected.

* Snow levels... temperatures will be cold enough for snow at all
locations through at least midday.

* Local impacts... hazardous travel conditions are expected due to
snow covered and icy roads and reduced visibility in falling
snow. This includes Interstate 25 from Las Vegas to Raton
Pass... as well as Interstate 40 at Moriarty.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight... food...
and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
