The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Fire Weather Watch...which is in effect from Friday afternoon through Friday evening. A red flag warning remains in effect from 11 am this morning to 8 PM MDT this evening.

* Area and timing...northeast Highlands and plains...east Central Plains...Sandia...Manzano and Gallinas Mountains and middle Rio Grande Valley. Critical conditions will develop late this morning then persist until around sunset. Critical conditions are possible again Friday afternoon through Friday evening.

* 20 foot winds...southwest and west 20 to 35 mph with gusts to 45 mph this afternoon and Friday afternoon.

* Relative humidity...8 to 15 percent this afternoon. 7 to 10 percent Friday afternoon.

* Impacts...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
