... Red flag warning remains in effect until 8 PM MDT this
evening...
... Red flag warning in effect from noon to 8 PM MDT Thursday...

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a red flag
warning... which is in effect from noon to 8 PM MDT Thursday. The
Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. A red flag warning
remains in effect until 8 PM MDT this evening.

* Area and timing... west Central/Northeast Highlands and middle
Rio Grande Valley as well as the Manzano/Sandia Mountains and
adjacent High Plains through early evening today and once again
Thursday afternoon to early evening Thursday.

* 20 foot winds... southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts between 35 to
45 mph. Strongest speeds will favor the high country with
lighter flows found within the Rio Grande Valley.

* Relative humidity... minimum values between 4 to 11 pct.

* Impacts... any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in the
field of this red flag warning.

serving the Ruidoso region is back in service.

NOAA Weather Radio wxj33 broadcasting on a frequency of 162.550 mhz
serving the Santa Fe region remains off the air. Technicians will
arrive at the site to make repairs Thursday June 20th.
