A coastal Flood Warning remains in effect until 11 PM EST Friday.

With high pressure to our north and low pressure to our south...
a strong and persistent northeast flow is expected along the
coasts of New Jersey and Delaware into the weekend. As a result...
tidal departures will continue to increase. Widespread minor
tidal flooding is expected around the time of high tide this
afternoon and evening... with spotty moderate flooding in southern
Delaware and in extreme southern New Jersey. For tonight into
Friday... widespread moderate tidal flooding is expected... with
some severe tidal flooding possible in parts of southern Delaware.

The strong onshore flow will not allow water to drain from the
back bays of New Jersey and Delaware during the next few tide
cycles. Many roadways will become flooded.

Rainfall will also compound the tidal flooding.

For Sandy Hook... New Jersey on the Bay Side... high tide occurs
at 353 PM this afternoon with a forecast height approaching
7 feet MLLW. For Friday morning... the high tide is at 434 am
with a forecast height of 7.5 to 8 feet MLLW. Friday afternoon's
high tide is at 451 PM with a forecast height around 7.5 feet
MLLW.

For Monmouth County in New Jersey... the tidal flooding overnight
into early Friday may be the worst since April of 2007.

For Seaside Heights... New Jersey on the oceanfront... high tide
occurs at 323 PM this afternoon with a forecast height
approaching 6.5 feet MLLW. For Friday morning... the high tide is
at 404 am with a forecast height around 7.5 feet MLLW. Friday
afternoon's high tide is at 421 PM with a forecast height of 7 to
7.5 feet MLLW.

For Atlantic City... New Jersey on the oceanfront... high tide
occurs at 342 PM this afternoon with a forecast height
approaching 6.5 to 7 feet MLLW. For Friday morning... the high
tide is at 421 am with a forecast height of 7.5 to 8 feet MLLW.
Friday afternoon's high tide is at 437 PM with a forecast height
of 7 to 7.5 feet MLLW.

For Ocean County and Atlantic County in New Jersey... the tidal
flooding overnight into early Friday may be the worst since March
of 1996.

For Cape May... New Jersey on the oceanfront... high tide occurs
at 416 PM this afternoon with a forecast height around 7.5 feet
MLLW. For Friday morning... the high tide is at 455 am with a
forecast height approaching 8.5 feet MLLW. Friday afternoon's
high tide is at 511 PM with a forecast height of 7.5 to 8 feet
MLLW. Since drainage from the back bays is expected to be
negligible, water levels on the back bays around the times of
high tide could actually run 1/2 to 1 foot higher than along the
oceanfront.

For Cumberland and Cape May County in New Jersey... the tidal
flooding overnight into Friday may be the worst since March of
1994.

For Lewes... Delaware on the Bay Side... high tide occurs at
456 PM this afternoon with a forecast height of 7.5 to 8 feet
MLLW. For Friday morning... the high tide is at 532 am with a
forecast height around 8.5 feet MLLW. Friday afternoon's high
tide is at 551 PM with a forecast height of 7.5 to 8 feet MLLW.

For Rehoboth Beach... Delaware on the oceanfront... high tide
occurs at 357 PM this afternoon with a forecast height of 7.5 to
8 feet MLLW. For Friday morning... the high tide is at 432 am
with a forecast height of 8 to 8.5 feet MLLW. Friday afternoon's
high tide is at 450 PM with a forecast height near 7.5 feet MLLW.

For Sussex County and Kent County in Delaware... the tidal
flooding overnight into early Friday may be the worst since the
winter of 1998.

For Reedy Point... Delaware... high tide occurs at 728 PM this
evening with a forecast height of 8 to 8.5 feet MLLW. For Friday
morning... the high tide is at 800 am with a forecast height of
around 8.5 MLLW. Friday evening's high tide is at 822 PM with a
forecast height of 8 to 8.5 feet MLLW.

For the upper part of Delaware Bay... the tidal flooding early on
Friday may be the worst since Hurricane Isabel in 2003.

Conditions are forecast to improve gradually over the weekend.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal Flood Warning means that flooding is occurring or
imminent. Coastal residents in the warned area should be alert
for rising water and take appropriate action to protect life and
property.

Do not park your vehicle in a location that is prone to tidal
flooding. Also... avoid roadways that are prone to tidal
flooding.

A high surf advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in
the advisory area... producing rip currents and beach erosion.

The Wind Advisory is now in effect until 4 PM EST Friday.

Strong high pressure remains in place over northern New England
as low pressure spins off the Carolina coast. The difference in
pressure between these two systems has created a strong and
persistent northeast flow along the coasts of New Jersey and
Delaware. Winds are expected to average around 35 mph with gusts
to 50 mph well into Friday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

... NOAA Weather Radio all hazards outage...

All NOAA Weather Radio transmissions from the National Weather
Service in Mount Holly, NJ have gone off the air. Technicians are
