Coastal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 3:30 PM EST on November 14, 2009
... Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 11 am EST
Sunday...
A coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 11 am EST
Sunday.
Northerly winds tonight and into Sunday morning will cause water
levels to remain above normal. The elevated water levels may cause
minor tidal flooding late this afternoon and early tonight... and
again Sunday morning... especially around the time of high tide.
High tide along the ocean front is late this afternoon and this
evening... and again early Sunday morning. High tide is an hour or
two later along the back bays. High tide along upper Delaware Bay
is during this evening and again during mid and later Sunday
morning.
A coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
Do not drive through flood waters... the water may be deeper than
you think it is.
