... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 1 PM EST this
afternoon...

* locations... along and near the northern New Jersey shore

* hazard types... snow

* snow accumulations... 1 to 3 inches.

* Timing... snow will start to move in by the morning commute and
continue through mid day.

* Impacts... snow will impact the morning commute with slippery
spots developing mainly on secondary or untreated roads...
bridges and overpasses as well as on sidewalks.

* Winds... north 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Temperatures... in the mid 30s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.

... Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect until 10 PM EST this
evening...
... Coastal Flood Watch remains in effect from late tonight
through Tuesday afternoon...

* location... northern New Jersey shore.

* Coastal flooding... widespread moderate coastal flooding is
anticipated to develop with the high tide cycle this morning.
Moderate coastal flooding is again possible with the Monday
evening high tide. There is the potential for widespread
moderate coastal flooding again on Tuesday morning.

* Timing... high tide this morning will occur between 7 and 8 am
EST. High tide this evening will occur between 7 and 9 PM EST.
It will occur between 730 am to 830 am on Tuesday morning.

* Waves... wave heights are forecast to build to 8 to 12 feet on
the near-shore waters off New Jersey.

* Impacts... widespread Road flooding and some damage to
vulnerable structures is possible for the next three high tide
cycles. Wave action will likely result in significant beach
erosion.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal Flood Warning means that moderate or major tidal
flooding is occurring or imminent. Be prepared for rising water
levels and take appropriate action to protect life and property.
Follow the recommendations of local emergency management
officials.

A coastal Flood Watch means that conditions favorable for the
development of moderate or major tidal flooding.

Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters. The water may be
deeper than you think it is. You will be putting yourself in
danger and your vehicle may be damaged... leading to costly
repairs.
