* Showers and thunderstorms are expected through tonight. Some of
the storms will contain torrential rain which may lead to flash
flooding. Average rainfall amounts around an inch are expected,
however localized amounts in excess of 3 inches are possible in
heavier thunderstorms. Rainfall rates near 2 inches per hour are
expected in heavier thunderstorms. If the storm drains become
clogged, this will likely enhance the local flooding on the
roadways.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to a rapid rise of water to dangerous levels. Flash flooding is a
very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
