Coastal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 5:50 PM EST on November 14, 2009
... Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 11 am EST
Sunday...
A coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 11 am EST
Sunday.
Northerly winds tonight into Sunday morning will cause water
levels to remain above normal. The elevated water levels may
cause spotty minor tidal flooding late this afternoon and early
tonight. With higher astronomical tides Sunday morning... minor
tidal flooding may occur again.
High tide along the ocean front and Raritan Bay is late this
afternoon and this evening and again early Sunday morning. High
tide is an hour or two later along the back bays. High tide along
Delaware Bay is this evening and again Sunday morning.
A coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate minor flooding of low areas along the
shore. Do not drive through flood waters... the water may be deeper
than you think it is.
