Coastal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 6:01 AM EDT on October 05, 2015

... Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM EDT this

* locations... areas along the Atlantic coast and lower Delaware
Bay in far southern New Jersey and Delaware.

* Coastal flooding... minor tidal flooding is expected with the
next high tide cycle this afternoon. Flooding will be most
widespread in the back bays since the onshore flow has not
allowed water from previous high tide cycles to completely

* Timing... high tide occurred around 330 am early this morning
and then again near 4 this afternoon on the oceanfront. High
tide on the back bays of eastern Delaware and along the lower
Delaware Bay occurs up to several hours later.

* Impacts... some flooding of low-lying roads and areas... possibly
widespread in the back bays.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal Flood Advisory means that minor tidal flooding is
expected minor tidal flooding often results in some Road
closures. Usually... the most vulnerable roadways will flood.

Do not leave your vehicle at a location that is prone to tidal
flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters. The
water may be deeper than you think it is. You will be putting
yourself in danger and your vehicle may be damaged... leading to
costly repairs.
