... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 5 am EST
Wednesday...
... Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Wednesday evening
through Thursday evening...

* locations... northern New London in Connecticut and western
Passaic in New Jersey.

* Hazard types... freezing rain until after midnight tonight...
then heavy snow Wednesday night into Thursday.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 4 to 6 inches... along
with around a trace of ice.

* Timing... freezing rain will change to plain rain after
midnight tonight. Rain then mixes with sleet and snow before
changing to all snow Wednesday evening. Snow should taper off
Thursday afternoon.

* Impacts... snow covered surfaces... coated with ice... will make
traveling difficult at times. Hazardous travel conditions are
expected due to greatly reduced visibilities and significant
snow accumulations.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow... sleet... or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
