Statement as of 9:27 PM CST on November 15, 2009 ... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST Monday... A Winter Weather Advisory for snow remains in effect until 6 PM CST Monday. Areas of light rain will mix with... and eventually change over to snow tonight. Snow will increase in coverage and intensity after midnight and last into Monday afternoon with storm total accumulations of 2 to 5 inches likely by Monday night. Locally higher accumulations... around 6 inches... are possible in southeast portions of the advisory area... primarily southeast of a line from Hebron Nebraska to Osborne Kansas. The combination of falling snow and north winds of 10 to 20 mph may also result in reduced visibilities across the area. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.
